Here is 4 generations all in a row! Great Grandpa Paul, Grandpa Chris, Tony, and Noah
Just before we arrived, one of Grandpa Paul's sister's passed away. So there was a funeral and get together at the house. Which worked out well since we were able to meet many of the family members. Here is Joan, Paul, Anita, and Martha. This is just 4 of the 12 brothers and sisters!!
It was fun for everyone to watch Noah and Great Grandpa play. When we first arrived, Grandpa Paul would make a clicking noise at Noah. With not much response. By the end of the 4 days we spent there, Noah responded every time! It was very cute.
Here is Uncle Jeff and Noah getting some quality time. Uncle Jeff and his sister Susan flew in for the funeral service and stayed with us at the house. So the house was packed!
Noah also had some great time with Grandpa Chris. Towards the last few days, we all were taking turns with this little guy. He was passed around to anyone with two arms and a smile.
We also we out on the town of Alton, Illinois. There are tons of antique shops to look at. This is one we loved. There was another little girl there who was 9 months old. This is a little rocking horse that Noah had fun riding.
This was so fascinating. This is a statue of Robert Wadlow. He was the tallest man in Alton. At a height of 8'11'' and weighing 490 pounds! Can you imagine? This is his actual height in the picture.
Here is Great Grandma Therese in his chair. He eventually designed one that would fit him.
Across the street was the dental school. It was really pretty. The surrounding neighborhood was the campus. We also met a man who's son attends the school. It is one of the top ranked!
One of our last stops was this house. This was the house that all 12 siblings lived in for many years. Grandpa Paul's dad helped to build it. It had only 1.5 baths. And I thought I had it bad...").
Overall we had a great time here. Playing hearts, eating ice cream, and watching all the birds in the backyard. After our 4 days we took to the road for a 4 hour drive to Kansas City. Be sure to look at the next blog for those fun and exiting pictures!
