Hood Canal

We headed out to the good ol' Hood Canal. It was so fun to go back and see how everything has changed and stayed the same. Hood sport is one of the nearest towns and we shopped and ate some lunch here.
At the restaurant when we were leaving we noticed these 5 little birdies in there nest. They were so cute. Can you see the hair sticking up on top of their heads? Adorable.

Alright. Now some of you have heard of the infamous swifer sweeper pole, and others of you experienced it with us, but this is actually the first thing Noah went for. And the last thing he would let go of at night. Here we see the pole at it's original height.

We decided to check out the water and watch the waves, and it was for a brief moment ,the swifer was set aside. Tony figured out how to shorten the pole to a better length.

Noah tested out the waters.

Now our swifer is the perfect size. First thing we went and played with. We actually walked several steps, on his own completely, to reach for the swifter. Here we are cleaning up the carpet.

The next day turned out to be so nice, so Grandpa Doug took us out on the boat to see the sites.

So we put on our life jackets, lotion, and oh yeah, the swifer. Noah was holding this the entire time we walked down to the water and I didn't even notice until we were there.

It was so nice out, we all covered up so we wouldn't get burnt. Ok, it wasn't that hot, but with our fair skin we weren't taking any chances. Doug let us borrow this hat for the occasion.

Mom and Foster enjoying the waves.

We took some time to comb the beach. We saw bull fish, clams, and some sea stars.

And for those of you Dunnites, this is the remaining bath tub that has been on a remote side of the beach for as long as we have been here. 18 years?

After all the fun we sat down to a great dinner on the deck and watched the sun set.

Another added bonus...this very large bald eagle. This is on the dock we were on earlier. It is just next door!! He stayed for quite a while, and actually was very large. He is one of 7 in the cove. So much nature and exploring. We had a good time and lucky for us we own a swifer. :)
