I thought I would just write out a synopsis of what is happening here and what the daily doings have been since I do not have time to download pics. Once I do, I will just post them. But for now here ya go.
We are officially done with the 3 rooms upstairs. The paint is on, then beds are put up and toys are systematically organized. (thank you Tony!). We have a few last things for Chloe's room, but nothing urgent or necessary other than making shelves for her closet.
The transition of the boys sleeping together has been much more difficult than I thought. We have been totally spoiled with kids that go down well. May not sleep for long, but they go down fairly great. The problem now is, that Zach wants to go play with Noah in his bed at night. There is virtually no way to keep him from doing this, unless we spend about an hour putting Zach down, waiting 30 min, and then putting Noah down. This is very time consuming and hard when all you want is for both to go down. Especially when it has been a late night. It gets hard to wait the half hour. The other problem is Zach (who normally wakes at 8:30 or 9) is up at 7 with Noah. And a bit cranky. I am longing for separate rooms. Really. How in the world can I get this to happen, at least until they are a bit older. We have resorted to the pack-n-play in a different room, but I really hate this. Although they go down great, I just want some "normalcy". Everyone in their own beds and obeying. But it seems irrational to expect a 1 1/2 yr old to understand that we dont play with each other at night, even if he is right there across the way.
On a final note of projects though, we are going to paint the kitchen and eating area and then call it good...well...at least until we think of something else right?
Some funny things with the kids right now though, is that Zach is over the whole shirt thing. We can take it off now, but the shoe fetish still lingers. Anyone who leaves a shoe unattended is bound to have it lost. He is able to say a ton of words all of the sudden too. Which is soo cute. truck, shoes, daddy, mommy, doggie, woof, bye-bye, hello, duck and so on. He really is getting so big.
Noah however, still has a baby that he puts to bed. He also like to pretend others are sick and he is helping them. Especially at night when he doesn't want to sleep, he comes up with a slue of excuses. His eye hurts and he needs ice, his ears hurt and needs medicine, he has to go potty, he needs a drink, he doesn't like the shadows...he gets very creative for sure! He also needs to know everyday where we are going and what we are doing and usually will correct me if he feels we should be doing something else. A very sweet heart, with a bit of a strong will.
As for us, the house in Monroe has two great offers on it now, so we are praying that they get accepted quickly. Well, at least one of them right? This baby is due very soon it seems. We are down to 2 week dr visits which always clues me in that the time is soon. We are also looking forward to a weekend away in March and several date nights that have been planned. So things are going smoothly and boy are we thankful. It really is the calm before the storm...:)
Hope to get pics to you soon!
