Miss Sadie has become quite the lady. She knows that is a brush and you use it on your hair. She loves it when I brush her wisps. Its crazy because the boys hated it when I did that and I still don't brush their hair much. But she loves it.
Zach got hold of my make-up. At least he knew that brush went with that color and it went somewhere around the eyes. The day after this, however, I was downstairs and the boys got quiet. I went up and found them in the play room, with all my make up spread out and being used on each other. I was so upset that I didn't get a picture. They poured liquid foundation into my new bronzer. Totally ruined. Then they brushed the foundation on each others clothes and worst of all, all over the carpet. I was kind of shaking. But the two faces that looked back at me with puppy eyes had make up everywhere...all over. They had no idea how ridiculous they looked. I KNEW I should have snapped a shot but I couldn't because I was so mad. I am laughing now even writing this.
We also have finally swapped date nights with our neighbors/friends. Jess drops her kids off around 4 and the kids eat dinner and play together. Then around 7:30 pm I take them to their house and put them down. It was so fun. They did great. As kids are when parents aren't around. We did bath and had some cereal and brushed teeth, books, a song and they were out by 8. So I hung out and read until they were home by 10. Then they returned the favor the next night and we went out for Valentines. It was so great.
This picture tells a few things. 1. That his head scar was indeed re injured. Noah and Zach collided heads on a slide. It was SO close to reopening. It bulged and bubbled again, bled a bit and almost came through. Instead, it just has a purple line through it. But the reason for the picture, is after the slide, he somehow had the bar stool fall on his face. It makes no sense how, but he was under the chair and really crying. Like that real cry...as I waited for the hurt to show a sign, his lip began to bleed. It was a doosy. His lip was huge and fat for days.
So sad. Think he is tired of this?
The next day. Big and black and sort of blistered. Ouch!
Well our Noah has become quiet the little man. He thrives on helping. It doesn't matter how or what, he wants to join in. So braving the cold, he helped Tony clean up the yard. A winter touch up. He also asked to vacuum the other day. I said ok, only because I had so much to do that it wouldn't hurt. Well, he blew me away and did a great job. Moving chairs and taking his time. He vacuumed my car, and helps do dishes. He grabs diaps and wipes and remembers everything! I just beam sometimes because God was so good to give me this bundle of energy and excitement for life.
Here, on some random day, I decided I was totally done with Zach and the ridiculous pacifiers. There does come that day. For some reason, it was now. Mind you, we broke it down to just bed time by this point but he was sneaking Sadies all the time. I couldn't keep track of "just bed". So we talked this day about how big he was and how he was doing potty so well. And now, we were going to get the pacifiers and give them all to Sadie since she is a baby. So here he is passing them along to her. I tell you what. He has asked 2x about it, but that is all. It has now been around 2 or more weeks. I forgot because it has gone so smoothly. Such a weigh lifted. They are wonderful and helpful, but breaking the kiddos free of them can be a challenge. Many ideas out there on how-to's, thankfully we are now down to the miss's.
Noah is so curious about Jesus right now. We talk and read and answer questions for him all the time. We have read the story of Noah and the ark and a rainbow. After going to Trader Joe's it was that kind of sunny/rainy day and we were searching for the rainbow. No one in sight. Then BAM it came out in true form. It was huge. I know my cell phone picture doesn't quiet cut it, but we were in awe for several miles as it moved to the different windows in the car.
Another wonderful moment on my run. I love that my phone is a one stop shop and as I run and take in His glory, I get to snap a picture. Oh, when I see this and am on that street again. Letting the sun and vitamin D soak in. Beautiful.
These two are such besties. They are hanging out all the time. They do fight, lets be honest, but they love each other and are always together. Two peas in a pod. It is sweet. This night, they cracked up in hysteria at the under ware hat. I did too..
Just yummy faces...
Last weekend we had an all family day. And when we go out with Tony we do it right and until we drop. We started at the best donut shop in town. Invited my dad and we indulged. The kids eyes were just gigantic at this store. This little place has been here in Bothell forever.
Sammie's.
Then in the freezing cold, we dug out our sports things and played ball. Tony loves doing this with them. Sadie and I froze while we watched, but the boys had a blast. Check out Zachs form here!
Noah lining up and Zach poking him in the back...over and over. Personalities at his best.
The wind up...
Contact! Tony found a Christian organization that does a small 6 week indoor training. He starts on Tuesday and boy is he excited.
Check out the beauty! We have had fun in this. I love the snow and snow days and snow everything. Especially when we get to be home and play.
Doing the snow thang. Aren't they sweet? I find them kinda cute.
And the picture of the week: Bath time. Sadie still loves bath and her brothers. So they play and splash and have fun every night. Noah is quick to hold Sadie of course. She's clapping and Zach is posing. My heart is full this week. They are becoming such little people and I am enjoying watching that come through. Lucky me!
