Boys Beach Birthday Bash

We headed up to Whidby for a birthday bash. It was great fun as always. Somehow this photo was snagged and it was half decent. If only you could have seen the crowd behind the camera yelling and snapping fingers for Zach to look and smile. At least we got this. Just love it. All random and on a washed up tree trunk.

Our girl got some tummy time. Is she trying to crawl? Seriously? At 6 weeks?

Some knee action.

A bit of beach time. Zach loves to be outside regardless of the wind and rain.

Daddy and Zach time. Right after Noah went out and I didnt get a picture but they held hands and walked the beach while Zach wanted to destroy things and throw it in the water...
Preparations the night before...beach buckets filled with goodies for the kiddos. Tony picked it all out and stuffed it with Noah. He loves doing this as much as he loves having a party.
Because it was raining we made a last minute decision to throw the party in the garage.
It was quite the event. It looked like something out of a pottery barn magazine.
Eating the grub..
Buffet line on the work counter. One minute its nails and tools the next seafood and corn line..
Noah picked out the cake for the birthday boys. Any surprise on the choice?

Some of the family and friends..

Cruise ship just passing by...I'd say the real party was at our place!

The Emerson clan. Jess, Luke, Riley, Regan, and Reese.

Matthew, Nikki and Eli.

Kirby and Jen

Zach entertaining the people while the eat.

A whole lotta beach baseball was played.

See what I mean.

The outdoor seafood bake begins...

Relaxin...

After several goofy pictures I finally told Noah to take one "real" one. No joke, this is what he did all by himself. I can see 30 years (or more!) from now, this being put up on display at their wedding. They are so sweet together.

Contemplating their next move..

After party bath. Look how different Sadie looks than the boys...it will be fun to see who she turns out to be.

We grabbed a rainy day project the next day at the town store. It was a puppet making kit. this was one of them. Not that we even picked it up once after this, but it was fun while it lasted.

Zach is obsessed with towers or staking. Here he is on a mission with Grandma.

I know this looks really bad. The boys play cowboy and guns. Here is Noah telling Zach to putt 'em up. And Zach did! It was really funny but looks worse than I thought.

The boys keeping the peace. Stick 'em up Grandma.
When she pretended to get shot, Zach was worried about her while Noah just stood in shock. Like, wait..what just happened.

It was a whirl wind weekend but we loved it. Happy 30th to my wonderful husband and a very happy birthday to my now (almost) 2 year old son. We are so blessed by you both each day!
