Our Week

Update:

Our quest for Noah to self-feed is going well. It seems he generally likes to take the spoon in his left and and eat with his right. So I decided to give him two spoons. This was all fine, until today he figured out how to remove the bowl from the table. Therefore, I walked into yogurt all over the floor. This is probably the only time I am thankful for Spencer. :)

So proud of himself when he gets both spoons in one hand.

Papa and Tony

Papa came over to help build the boarder of the play set. Unfortunately, it was raining for a bit when he first got here. But fortunately that meant some play time for Noah. He was shy at first, but that never lasts long with the grandparents.

Before we knew it, he was helping to change the batteries in his singing Noah's ark boat. Right after this the rain let up and they went out for a few hours and made a big dent in the project. I however have neglected to get the end result. Never fear my fans, I will have it up soon.

Taking in all the mysteries of the world.

Aunt Jill (don't forget that is shill), also made it out. While the boys did that we went to find another letterbox. By the way if you are interested about this neat event, go to http://www.letterboxing.org/. I will spare you the details of it all this time, but so far all the trails have been really neat.

Our starting point.

Digging deep for the treasure map.

And we are off. Moments after this picture however, I realized I had locked the precious keys in my car. Urgggh! To my defense, it has been sometime since I last did this, however I am notorious for this.

Tony wanted us to call the po po's to come and help, but since we weren't interested in police, we called Paul to help us get a number. While we waited, we continued on.

A couple of guys with some huge fish from the river.

We found it! This one was easy, but brownie points for creativity.

Noah desperately needed to exercise his legs, and we needed to meet the locksmith.

Thankfully there was a neat grass area that we could run around in while we waited. We waited for about an hour for this guy. I didn't take a pic of him because frankly he was creepy in an unmarked car with no identification of the business he was with. The park ranger stopped by because it looked like he was breaking in. Yeah creepy.

Still waiting...in the meantime, Noah managed to do a face plant in the wet grass and also slip in some mud. But he was happy. I will confess to the few of you that once the car was opened, the alarm was blaring and Jill and I were frantically reaching for my purse, only to find my keys...in my coat pocket. Yep. That's right. I had them the entire time. This one goes down in history.

Projects:

So besides the play set and the work bench, we last minute thought we should add another. We are painting Noah's room his trademark blue. It looks so much better already. I didn't realize how much it needed some paint! It is so fun to add color!
