Treasure Hunt with Jill

The Treasure Hunt Begins!
Aunt Jill and Noah and I met in the wonderful Snohomish for the first of many letterbox hunts. Now if you are at all interested in finding these boxes, please scroll down to the next section. I do not want to be responsible for giving any clues away.

Now, first we found ourselves outside a church in the heart of it all. It was bitterly cold this morning but we were determined.
After we "broke our mama's back 15 times we went West to this artifact that was 620 yrs old. We then were told to look through it to find a few numbers. This was a tad confusing, but before long the master sleuths in us figure it out. It lead us to a memorial with dates. We then used those numbers to find the drowning dear.

Noah happily playing with his stick.

We were, momentarily perplexed by this "drowning dear" but we continued on after counting the cat heads. That gave us how many blocks to go.

That took us down to the water, where we interrupted a cop and scuba diver getting a car out of the water. Jill told me not to take pictures of things that were non of my business, but I couldn't help it. :)

But we pressed on.
We found the owl on the pole, and I joined in.

Jill counted steps to the memorial.

The memorial.
At the end we found the flood chart which led us to the rocks.

We found the letters on the rocks and went to the "E".

Box was above the rock. We were so exited to find it!!

The Letter Box!!

Careful to be discreet, we opened it up and saw everyone else who had joined in the fun too. We have yet to make a stamp, but I know it won't be long.

Meanwhile, Noah inspects his stroller.

Moments later he grabs for the stamp pad and had blue ink everywhere! There are so many of these to discover we can't wait.

Ellen!
Ellen came over for dinner and a movie. Spender always loves her. Although he looks possessed since I couldn't take the white out of his eye.

The cookies that melted together!!!

Thank you all for enjoying the blog. One by one I am meeting some of you. Thank you especially to Jessie and Jenny who we saw at a friends wedding. She loves the blog and said that it "makes her day". Well Jenny you made ours!!! Take care of those beautiful dogs for us.
