Pumpkins, Parties and More!

Well, this was one fun, crazy weekend! I had no idea going into it that it would be this hectic. But it started off with Papa and Mor Mor coming over and giving us these wonderful glasses. There were monkey, giraffe, and tiger ones. Noah has on Papa's spoon glasses. It was really fun to see them!

The next few days were in preparation for a big surprise 50th birthday party for my dear friend Ellen. Oh was it fun and fabulous. So many of her great family and friends showed up and we partied. We celebrated and we talked about many old stories. So thankful for being able to take the time to enjoy life.

Ellen did not hesitate to wear her boa and birthday girl crown.
She is so full of life! I hope I will be close to having this much pizazz when Im 50!
Man she makes it look good!

Helloooooo wine!

More gifts!

Believe it or not, we all gathered at a club for the final hurrah. The only problem was, many other Halloween party go-ers did the same thing. So, after 45 minutes in line, and it being close to midnight, we called the party to and end. But we we out kicking and screaming and having a great time. We sure know how to have fun! Even if we dont get into the club!

That was all Thursday and Friday and Saturday, but on Tuesday we hit the pumpkin farm. With it being late and night and so close to Halloween, we just hit a farm that was close to us. It wasnt nearly as cool as the Snohomish one we go to, but it did in a pinch. It was windy, cold and a touch of rain. Not to mention dark.

Zach took to taking all them. This was sorta the pumpkin pile. Lame-o. Of course the kids didnt mind...but it left us lacking in the experience department.

Gathering the goods. Noah is growing up so very fast. He is more a mini helper-outer now than anything. He wants to make sure everyone has a pumpkin and its in the right place in the wagon.

Here are some years before. This was 2 years ago. Man Noah is young. He was just 2 and Zach was about 4 months. Time flies!

This was last year. Tony was upset because the Huskies lost, I was upset because we all sat in the car listening to the Huskies lose, it was freezing, Noah was mad because he didnt get a nap and nobody was wanting to sit for the picture. But we got it..sort of...right!?
Here is this year. Zach was in a tantrum the entire time, Noah didnt want a picture and Sadie finally wasnt chewing on her hands. And somehow we got the old lady shopping in the back round. All in a days work.

So as we were headed to the car Zach was screaming. He has some pipes on him. I think he was trying to go back to get more and fill up the cart. It took sometime to get him in the car. We had to take off his pants, (which he hates) and leave the cart, so he cried the whole way home.

But all was better once we got some hot coco and a warm bath. All three in the tub. Very surreal. Sadie can totally sit up now. She really passed the whole falling phase. Either I waited a while to get her going or she just figured it out. But she loves the water and bath. She doesn't even cry when I put water on her face. She just splashes and reaches and eats all the toys.

Everyone looking. The funniest part is we are getting pretty snippy at them to look and smile and stop splashing...they are very sweet.

Zach also has decided to start hanging out in his room once we put him down. We hear him up there banging and doing. Which is fine. But once I went in to make my final rounds before bed I found this...books thrown everywhere! Sometimes Noah gets a few selected treats in his bed too.

The closer I looked in the dark room, the more I realized that out of all the books he of course had toy story right by his head. Along with a pink pacifier. He has also really taken to our new pacifier routine. He can have it as long as its in his bed. So even if he takes Sadie's, its fine, just in his bed. It has been about a week now and no melt downs or anything. He totally understands its for bedtime. So that's it twice a day. And most times it falls out when he is sleeping.

Then today, on Sunday Tony, with a few hours to spare, carved the pumpkins. I was content to leave them be, but he and Noah took on the task. Its fun to see these two get going on their projects. Tony was pretty driven to get it done, but Noah was happy to pull out the guts. So it worked.

After that, we got decked out and Tony proceeded to get our garage rigged up for trick or tr eaters. Tables of cookies and cider and candy. Not to mention the spider and a strobe light. Apparently the store had a major sale...yeah. But it was fun. Late, cold night but fun. Another year down and now just 10 weeks until Christmas! Let the fun begin!
