Portland, Oregon

We headed down last weekend to Portland for Tony's cousin, Gina's, wedding. The car ride was about 3 hours. We stayed in an adorable hotel right in the heart of it all for 2 nights. It was action packed. Especially with the 3 kids. But we managed. We had the grandparents with us too so that helped out since there wasn't a ton to do for the kiddos.
Our room had two double beds. Yikes! But we had the sleeping bags for the boys so they did great sharing the bed. Otherwise it may have been a free for all. Zach was SO excited about seeing his Buzz bag out he crawled in it and hung out for a bit.
Sadie settling in. Most of these pictures are of the kids. They were quite the show stealer's in my mind with their adorable outfits. Tony and his mom get all the credit for them.

Since the Chris and Mary were in the room that connected to ours this became a fun game fast. To call and talk to the other person in the other room. It was nice to have them occupied for a bit while we tried to settle in.

Noah's turn.

This was rehearsal night. I have to say, Noah did this pose and many others all on his own. Doesn't he look like he has had a major growth spurt? So handsome. Lately he has walked around a corner and I get shocked because he is just getting so big, so fast.

This, to me, is like a pre college pic. Like they are in a dorm room, waiting to go to some formal together. I even like the color of the photo. Could just be me though...:)

Zach was the main excitement over our time there. He refused to go to bed and used his high pitched voice to basically negotiate whatever he wanted. We had Chris and Mary on one side of us, and the brides parents sleeping in the other room. Wasn't much for negotiations and a screaming/crying child. So this devious face says it all!

During the rehearsal Zach stayed apart of it all. There he is with his favorite cousin, Lindsey.

Afterwards we went to eat at a very yummy restaurant. Check out Sadie's digs. Hilarious! Tony is 100% to blame for this which makes it so much better to me. She looked adorable. Then, there was Zach...enough said.

Love this one. The room was so dark I wasn't sure which pictures really turned out, but I kinda like this! She is an easy one to take photos of!

Me and Sadie. I basically walked the kids around and around. Keeping them occupied. Hand one off and get another. We were there for a few hours and it was late so the kids were done. But Noah was so excited to be taking taxi's and seeing the sights. At one point, we got locked out of our room and he confidently told me all we need to do, is call the police and an officer will come and help us get in. Such a smart boy he is.

Playing with Grandpa!

We all slept like sardines. So we were quite on edge the next morning. We thankfully found a mall and let the kids run and play and kill time till nap and family pictures. Here is Zach putting on his nice socks.

I snuck into the bathroom and very quietly took a shower and got all ready at 1 o clock so that I would be able to help with the others. Yea, pictures were at 430 and the wedding was at 6...long day.

I love this picture because Sadie does this all the time. She pushes her face into me (or Noah) as hard as she can, while screaming at the top of her lungs. Its pretty cute. Unless she gets a handful of hair...then that's another story.

Me and my girl ready to go!

Such a handsome little devil!

Ready to go!

Zach-o and Grandpa have a special thing going on...

What a handsome trio! Notice the effort by Zach to keep his eye's closed. Stinker.

Quick shot of the bride and groom during pictures. They were stunning!

Mary and the father of the bride (her brother) Mick.

And us....:)

Zach and cousin Jake. Jake always plays with the kids. It kept Zach's attention for a little while at least!

At the end of this LONG day, we figured out how to get a movie on the little computer we brought! Whoo hoo! We put the blanket over the keys to discourage Zach's little fingers. It worked like a charm!

This was maybe the best part of it all. After getting up and walking around the room for the hundredth time, due to no room in the bed, I saw this....

And a bit later...this. A picture really is a thousand words.

When we all got up, at 6 again, we hit the movie again and got room service! It worked like a gem to get the room packed up. So here they are with strawberry yogurt and Astroboy.

And then the picture of the week. Zach puts up a big fight for bed right now. Tinkering around till late. Sometimes with tantrums too. This night didn't last but 30 minutes and when I went in, I saw him totally out...on the floor. He continues to keep us on our toe. The whole time he does all this Noah is so asleep it doesn't wake him. So it works out for now.
